Double Distinction for Fourlis group in the ESG sector: “The Most Sustainable Companies in Greece 2025” and “Diamond” in the ESG Transparency Index

Fourlis group is once again recognized this year for its strategic commitment to Sustainable Development and the integration of ESG principles at the core of its operations.

Fourlis group received a double distinction in the ESG sector, underscoring its strategic dedication to Environmental, Social, and Governance matters.

Specifically, Fourlis group has been included once again in the list of “The Most Sustainable Companies in Greece 2025,” as announced by the QualityNet Foundation. This list is a benchmark for companies that stand out for systematically embedding Sustainable Development principles and ESG criteria (Environment, Society, Governance) into the core of their business operations. The evaluation was carried out within the framework of The Quality ESG Index, now in its 8th consecutive year, which holistically reflects organizations’ performance and sustainable operating strategy.

At the same time, the group was included in the “Diamond” category of the ESG Transparency Index, published by Forbes in collaboration with EY Greece and Net Zero Analytics. The index evaluates the transparency level of the 100 largest Greek companies. This distinction reflects the degree of transparency and completeness in ESG reporting, based on publicly available data and predefined ESG disclosure criteria.

Fourlis group consistent presence in the “The Most Sustainable Companies in Greece” list, along with its recognition in the ESG Transparency Index, demonstrates its long-term commitment to responsible entrepreneurship and sustainable development.

These distinctions affirm the group’s leadership in the retail sector and highlight its active contribution toward building a more sustainable and responsible future for all, promoting values that focus on people, society, and the environment.

Ms. Lyda Fourlis, Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility Director of Fourlis group, stated: “These distinctions are not only a reward for us but also a reminder of our responsibility toward future generations. At Fourlis group, we consistently integrate sustainability into every decision we make and adopt practices that create real value. We are committed to maintaining a balance between business growth and social contribution with transparency, responsibility, and a long-term vision.”

Regarding the “The Most Sustainable Companies in Greece” list, it is worth noting the continuity with last year, as highlighted by Ms. Chrysoula Exarchou, President of the QualityNet Foundation, who stated: “The consistent presence of the same companies in the 2025 list proves that sustainability is a central pillar of their strategy and operations. These businesses are the most representative examples of a modern, productive, and competitive development model—one that is now emerging as a global standard.”
