Fourlis Group concluded 2025 with a strong social and sports footprint, reaffirming that promoting employee health and wellbeing, along with giving back to society, is an integral part of its corporate culture.
Throughout the year, hundreds of employees across Greece, Bulgaria, Romania and Cyprus actively participated in volunteer and sports activities, supporting local communities while fostering a spirit of collaboration and teamwork. Social contribution initiatives focused on supporting children, the elderly, people with disabilities and vulnerable social groups, as well as environmental care.
In Greece, voluntary blood donation drives were held in January and June, with employees contributing a total of 396 units of blood. As part of Volunteer Day, 120 trees were planted in Varympompi, Attica, with the participation of employees and their families. During the Christmas holiday period, food and essential goods were collected to support vulnerable social groups, while Easter initiatives were carried out in mental health facilities and support structures for people with disabilities.
Similar initiatives were developed in the Group’s other countries of operation. In Bulgaria, employees supported childcare and elderly care institutions, took part in socially oriented creative activities and implemented charitable initiatives throughout the year. In Romania, INTERSPORT linked social contribution with sports through Christmas donations and the organization of a charity football match.
At the same time, sports remained a core element of the Group’s corporate culture, with employees participating in 18 organized sports activities across the four countries. These included major running events, corporate tournaments and sports events with a social message, enhancing physical and mental wellbeing as well as strengthening team bonds.
Ms. Lyda Fourlis, Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility Director of the Fourlis Group, stated: “For us, responsibility is not a separate activity but the way we operate every day. We are proud of our people, who turn the Group’s values into actions, whether by supporting society or by taking part together in sports initiatives that bring our teams closer. This spirit of participation and contribution is our true strength.”
Guided by its sustainable development strategy, the Fourlis Group continues to invest in initiatives that make a meaningful difference to local communities, support employee wellbeing and nurture a culture of participation, solidarity and teamwork, leaving a lasting positive footprint wherever it operates.
