On Monday, July 15, 2024, IKEA, a Fourlis Group company, was awarded as one of the protagonists of the Greek Economy for the year 2024. The event took place at Golf Privé in Glyfada, organized by Direction Business Network for the ninth consecutive year.

Specifically, IKEA’s honorary distinction as a protagonist in its sector, based on its turnover, pre-tax profits, and cash reserves, stands out due to the path it has charted with its home furnishing stores. With this distinction, the company demonstrates its strength and dynamism in the retail sector, which, with steady progress and development, contributes to the rapid growth of the Greek economy.

The award was received by Mr. Theodoros Felekis, Sales, Range & Logistics Manager, IKEA, who stated: “On behalf of IKEA and Fourlis Group, I would like to warmly thank for the distinction we receive from a reliable institution with meritocratic criteria. In the presence of more than 400 senior business executives and representatives of the academic community, the award ceremony, a landmark for Greek entrepreneurship, aimed to recognize, highlight, and ultimately reward companies for their valuable contribution to the business sector and the development of the national economy. The event was held, as always, under the auspices of the Ministry of Development and the Ministry of National Economy and Finance.
