Cyber Security Operations Analyst

About the Role:

  • As a member of the Prevent & Defense team within the Group Information Security Division, you will be responsible for:
  • Supporting the implementation and maintenance of cyber defense mechanisms, including Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), Network Detection & Response (NDR), anti-malware and email security solutions, as well as vulnerability assessment and penetration testing activities
  • Monitoring security events and security logs through SIEM and related security platforms, ensuring the protection of critical data and systems
  • Responding to information security events involving technologies such as IDS/IPS, WAF, DDoS protection and DLP controls, conducting investigations and implementing lessons learned to strengthen the security posture
  • Ensuring compliance with security hygiene standards, monitoring technical vulnerabilities, supporting remediation activities, performing patch verification and providing security oversight of backup processes
  • Supporting the implementation and tuning of security controls, including firewalls and network security technologies
  • Supporting identity and access management processes, including privileged access controls and periodic access reviews


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in security operations or a related role
  • Good understanding of cyber defense mechanisms, incident response procedures, and access control practices, with the ability to support investigations and contribute to containment and recovery efforts
  • Hands-on experience or familiarity with security tools and technologies such as EDR, anti-malware platforms, vulnerability scanners, and basic penetration testing techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Sound judgment and balanced risk management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
  • Good understanding of modern IT infrastructures, cloud services and cybersecurity principles

 

Qualifications considered as an asset:

  • MSc in Information Security, Cyber Security, or a closely related field.
  • Relevant entry-level certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, Microsoft SC-200, or equivalent) are preferred but not mandatory
  • Willingness to pursue further certifications and training in cyber security operations and incident response.
