At Fourlis group, our people are our cornerstone and driving force. We continuously invest in their development and well-being, creating an environment that fosters innovation, collaboration, and personal growth. Our goal is to create and maintain a culture of respect, inclusion and equal opportunities for everyone, an environment where everyone will feel safe and that they are part of a team in which they can develop professionally and personally.
Fourlis group aims at creating new job positions through the development of its activities in Greece and abroad.
By doing so, the group strengthens local communities and stimulates the national economies in the countries where it operates.
We reward employees who have contributed to the achievement of the group’s goals for years (10, 20, 30 years).
We promote and award employees who, through specific behaviors, are distinguished for their professionalism and special contribution, in accordance with the Values and Mission of the group and we award children of employees who are either excellent students or have been admitted to universities.
Creating a safe and healthy working environment is a core Principle for us, reflected in our Values as well.
We invest in infrastructure, procedures, and a culture of prevention, as well as in the continuous and regular training of all our employees, so they can respond effectively to emergency situations that may affect not only their own safety but also that of our customers/visitors and partners at our group’s facilities.
The training for each group employee starts from the moment of hire.
Continuous training and education are ensured through adherence to the training plan, which is developed after the annual performance review.
We implement a single Performance Appraisal and Development Review process for all its employees, to ensure that the employees’ appraisal process is and will remain transparent.
We implement a Human Rights Policy, which is a means of declaring compliance with applicable laws and international standards and guidelines, making it clear that we respect Human Rights and show no tolerance for their violation.
In 2021, we signed the Diversity Charter in Greece, further strengthening our commitment to combat discrimination and promote equal rights in the workplace. In 2022, group’s companies IKEA and INTERSPORT also signed the Diversity Charter in Bulgaria, while in 2023 INTERSPORT Romania proceeded with the signing of the Diversity Charter.
Social responsibility is an integral part of our philosophy. We are committed to supporting the communities in which we operate through initiatives that promote education, health, and social cohesion. By responding to the needs of society, we strive to create a better future for all.
We seek to be in constant connection with citizens, as well as the wider society in the countries where we operate, through institutionalized channels of communication and consultation, with the aim of informing ourselves about their needs and understanding them. We then evaluate, prioritize, plan and implement programs and actions with criteria to cover the real and important needs of each local society, but also those that are most aligned with the group's social responsibility strategy.
We strive not only to meet but to exceed our customers’ expectations by offering high-quality and affordable products, as well as innovative, top-tier services.
