For more than a decade, IKEA, a Fourlis Group company, has been implementing the “Stations of Joy” Corporate Social Responsibility programme, supporting municipal nursery and childcare centres by creating well-designed, functional spaces where children can play, learn and grow every day.

By mid-2026, IKEA had donated products to 100 childcare centres across Greece, making a meaningful contribution to improving children’s everyday lives and helping create modern, functional environments for their care and development. To mark the milestone of 100 “Stations of Joy”, IKEA is sending a symbolic gift to all the centres that have participated in the programme, highlighting the importance of creating spaces filled with joy and creativity within local communities.

The initiative was launched in 2013 and has since become a key pillar of Fourlis Group Corporate Social Responsibility programme, implemented consistently in cooperation with municipal authorities across Greece.

Whenever a new childcare centre joins the programme, a comprehensive process is carried out to identify and assess its specific needs. IKEA’s experienced interior designers work closely with educators and representatives of the respective municipality to jointly determine the improvements to be made, ensuring that each space genuinely responds to the needs of the children while also supporting the people who care for them every day.

Since 2013, more than 4,212 children have benefited from renovated and upgraded spaces at their childcare centres, including 202 children across seven centres in 2025 alone. The improvements include new furniture such as cribs, children’s tables and chairs, and storage solutions, as well as toys, textiles and educational materials, creating more welcoming and functional environments for children. Since 2013, the total value of the products donated to upgrade the facilities of participating centres has reached €1,065,500.
