IKEA, a Fourlis Group company, celebrated today, Wednesday, April 22, the grand opening of its new, upgraded store in Rhodes. The new store is an evolution and expansion of the Pick Up & Order Point that had been operating since 2012. It was the first of its kind and served as a model for other IKEA Pick Up & Order Points across Greece. Its redevelopment marks the strengthening of IKEA’s presence in the Dodecanese and an upgraded shopping experience for both residents and visitors of Rhodes.

With a total surface area of 2,700 sq.m., the new store offers visitors the opportunity to discover ideas and solutions for both home and professional spaces, tailored to their needs. The store is developed across two levels: the ground floor, which hosts the furniture exhibition and customer service department, and the basement, where home furnishing accessories and the product pick-up point are located.

At the same time, a specially designed planning area operates on the ground floor, where visitors can, by appointment, create their ideal kitchen or wardrobe with the assistance of IKEA’s specialized planners.

The grand opening was attended by Deputy Regional Governor Mr. Apostolis Asprakis and Deputy Mayor of Communications Mr. Giorgos Pattas. A welcome address was delivered by Mr. Dionysis Pyrovolisianos, Store Operations Manager of IKEA. During his speech, Mr. Dionysis Pyrovolisianos stated: “We are particularly pleased to inaugurate the new, upgraded IKEA store in Rhodes. Its redevelopment strengthens IKEA’s presence in the Dodecanese and enhances the shopping experience for residents and visitors of the island. Our team, with experience and expertise, is moving forward dynamically in this new beginning, while the investment amounts to approximately €2 million. Our goal is to become a modern and easily accessible home destination, offering solutions that improve people’s everyday lives.”

In terms of product range, the store features more than 1,500 items available for immediate purchase, while the full IKEA product range is also accessible through the Order & Collect service.

The store is located in an easily accessible area at the 5th kilometer of the Rhodes–Lindos road and offers convenient parking spaces for visitors.

As part of the opening celebrations, special activities have been scheduled for both children and adults. On Wednesday, April 22 and Saturday, April 25, children’s activities will take place, while all visitors can participate in a “wheel of fortune” with unique prizes. On Saturday, the program will also include a kid’s cooking activity. Additionally, from Wednesday through Saturday, a contest will be held offering 10 gift cards with a total value of €1,000.
